Free Family Days at Bok Tower Gardens (Thank You, Wawa!)

Filed under:

Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is one of the most beautiful places in Central Florida — and on Wawa Summer Fun Days, it’s completely FREE.

The must-know details: you must register in advance (free, but required). The remaining 2026 dates are July 30–31 and August 27–28. And here’s a huge one for families: you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks. There’s a café on site, but packing a cooler makes this a genuinely zero-dollar day out.

The gardens are massive — flowers, butterflies, winding paths, incredible views — and they recommend three to four hours to see everything. We lasted about two and a half in the summer heat and still didn’t run out of things to do. The kids’ “find Wally” game (with a prize at the end!) kept our son on a mission the whole time.

And then there’s the main event: the tower itself, which plays music every hour. Stop, listen, look up. It’s worth the trip on its own.

Mark those dates, register early (it fills up — the parking lot was packed), and bring water. Thank you, Wawa and Bok Tower Gardens, for a genuinely free family day.
